The
gallery Hauser & Wirth will
host a substantial Roman Signer
solo show, with four new site-specific
works. Spanning more than four
decades, the film and video work
of Swiss artist Roman Signer
counts among the most important
explorations of art making via
the moving image in the contemporary
period.
In
his concert "From Vienna
to New York", Brazilian
pianist Marcelo Bratke will be
performing works by Schubert,
Berg, Cage, Copland, Barber and
Gerschwin.
Now
in his 81st year, pianist and
composer Stan Tracey remains
a true original. His
piano style, founded in the rich
and percussive discoveries of
Ellington and Monk, has long
become something completely his
own, a unique and unmistakeable
voice with its tough swing and
witty twists and turns.
